Last Day Of School

May 30, 2009

Thank goodness!

I think Andrew checked out about two weeks ago.  That is when he  just stopped trying or caring about school.  I could see it in his eyes, his attitude and the way he carried himself.  Not only did he check out, I think the whole school did.

In the past two weeks Andrew brought home no graded papers, no homework, no study sheets, no books to read.  What he did bring home were field trip,  talent show, field day, and movie day notifications.  Seriously, why even bother with the last week of school?  I suppose there needs to be a last week and a last day. It’s the only way to kick off summer vacation.

Now what in the hell are we going to do all freaking summer?

We need to go do stuff on Wednesdays or Fridays! Love the pic of Andrew up top…I’m assuming that’s him on the last day of school!
