I enjoy drinking every now and again. I like cranberry and Vodka, rum and coke, margarita’s or a nice glass of white wine. The problem I have with all those drinks is that only after one I start to get a headache. I have chosen to stick to beer, which doesn’t give me a headache while drinking or the morning after. The only trouble with drinking beer is the following day I am lethargic, tired and can’t focus. (might explain this post)

I had to find out why I’m so energy deficient. Here is what I learned from R U Pissed.

Apart from the obvious toxic effects, you should realize you’re suffering the effects of a mild overdose of a depressant drug and your nerves are reacting accordingly, and you have also flushed a significant quantity of vitamins and nutrients from your system causing a degree of metabolic shock that your body is struggling to compensate against. This is why hangover symptoms often include disorientation and “the jitters”.

Here are some tips in preventing a hangover:

  • Eat almonds before drinking
  • Eat peanut butter before drinking
  • Drink a sports drink before going to bed
  • Eat before going to bed
  • Reduce the amount of sugar before and while drinking

Hangover remedies (the day after):

  • Chocolate Milk
  • Cold pizza
  • Bananas
  • Coke
  • Vitamin B supplement

    Another tip to prevent a hangover is to not drink so much.
