Being Short Sux!

pants I bought two pairs of these pants in petite and they were still like two inches to long.

The first pair I hemmed by hand it took me over an hour, they didn’t look so good.

I had a bright idea, I will buy one of those tiny hand held sewing machines. BAD idea! I couldn’t get it threaded, the needle hole is to damn small, and I don’t have three hands and I’m not flexible enough to use my toes. Either I suck at sewing or this machine sucks….my $13 bucks is on the cheap ass piece of plastic.

I bought this with very low expectations, thinking at least it would be faster and better than stitching by hand.

A small piece of test material came with the machine, the first test stitch worked well, then it wouldn’t hold a stitch after that at all!
I tried rereading the directions, disassembled, re-assembled, anything I could think of just to hem a damn pair of pants.

Forty minutes later and a broken needle I couldn’t figure out how to hold it while I tried fitting the pants that needed sewing onto the device! It doesn’t lay on the table, it doesn’t lay in your lap. You literally need 3 hands! Somehow you have to hold it against your body while lifting the holding plate all the while being careful not to put any pressure on the needle arm. Just what freaking hand am I supposed to use to hold the pants?

Five minutes later I broke the damn thing!
